Far too tiny, tiny, tiny to be able to tell what they're up to, especially since they're all in a great ferment. Hurray for cameras and freezing an instant. Apparently their real name is Anurida sp. (Where some species names seen on the web are: maritima, ashbyae).

Neglected to mention they're in extremely shallow water. Or I should say on it.
