It's a nice enough moth did you even remember to check whether it had moth antennae? Umm, no. but I am busy feeling disappointed that the pictures of a sulphur butterfly with nice green eyes didn't come out (because the batteries were dying). At least I looked at it for a bit with my eyes, right? But...but I want everything ...or at least more than I have...

At one time, I had a decent guess at what kind of tiger moth it might be, but...I just don't remember now.

Not a good picture, but under the conditions, as good as I had any right to expect.

I remember it as more of a creamyish, faded sort of orange, not dark like the contrast with the sand has lent it here. I wouldn't be surprised if it's sort of mediumishly related, if you know what I mean, to that tussock one I saw the other day.

Later: the various tiger moths are like that. One source suggested that the isabella tiger moth could look like this, and another source claimed that those who think that are wrong. So.
