Hurray for spot metering, because the sand is far too bright otherwise. Blurry because I'm holding it aloft with one hand.

The point of this is to say that the holdfasts sometimes bring rocks, and I always hope for an interesting rock, but they must only have a supply of ordinary rocks down there.

The reddish stuff might've been sponge, but I promise nothing.

I had to make a mental note to remember that this is bullwhip kelp because I knew the picture was going to make me think sea palm. And now I look at it, thinking That looks like sea palm!, since they have that cluster of little stalks...
